Be a river of peace.
Be Calm.
What does that mean to you?
Is it taking deep breaths? Sitting in silence?
Or maybe being so relaxed you could just fall to sleep?
Today I have a challenge for you!
I want you to be a river of peace.
Here’s how…
1.) Take sometime to relax, be mindful and sit in quietness.
2.) I want you to imagine a river flowing through rocks.
It gently passes over and through the rocks.
Listen for the sound of the river as it crashes into the rocks and keeps going.
Be attentive to the flow and sight of what this river may look like.
3.) Next, I want you to imagine your thoughts are that river. Breath in and out, allowing your thoughts to come and go like a peaceful river… even your negative ones.
When your bad thoughts start to creep in, remember the river.
The river doesn’t stop, it keeps going and flows away. Those thoughts have no hold over you.
Let them crash, then let them go.
Redirect your mind on the good.
The more practice doing this, the better you’ll get at it.

Here’s a snippet:
“You were there when I was homeless
You were the only thing that could help me to sleep
You would visit me often
You made me feel safe and at ease
At times I would wait up for you to visit
I would check my phone to see
I really hoped I’d get a notification
Everything about you was perfect to me”
